Indian Army has published the recruitment notification 2021 for the Short Service Commission (Tech) Men 58th course and Women 29th course. The notification has been published on the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. Accordingly, the course is all set to begin in the month of April 2022. Eligible candidates who are interested in this recruitment drive can fill and submit their online applications from September 28 to October 27, 2021. This is a special recruitment drive initiated by the Indian Army for both male and female engineering graduates to serve in the force.
The SSC (Tech) Recruitment 2021 will allow shortlisted candidates to train at the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for a duration of 49 weeks. Furthermore, they will be inducted into the Indian Army on an “Additional Bond Basis”. Candidates must note that this recruitment drive is open only to certain selected engineering streams. Therefore, candidates who do not fulfil this qualification criterion will not be permitted to apply for the recruitment drive.
The selection process of the SSC (Tech) Recruitment 2021 is an elaborate 3-step process that a shortlisted candidate must clear to get inducted. In the first stage, candidates whose applications have been accepted will be intimated to select their Services Selection Board (SSB) centre for their interviews.
Only the shortlisted candidates scoring equal to or more than the cut-off percentage will be interviewed at the selection centres. After this 2-stage selection process, selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination to prove their medical competency. After being deemed “medical fit”, candidates will be issued a joining letter for training based on the merit, availability of vacancies and fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
Candidates must note that all these steps will be intimated to them via email or SMS. In case they are shortlisted for the next stage, applicants are advised to keep track of their registered email ID or mobile number for important details about the subsequent stages.
Indian Army fixes the cut-offs for the SSC (Tech) recruitment drive on the 6th semester of Engineering, 8th semester of Architecture or 2nd semester of M.Sc. Computer Science. Candidates who apply for the recruitment drive appropriately and have scored equal to or more than the cut-offs will be shortlisted for the interview round.
