NDA exam is conducted in two stages: Written exam and SSB Interview. The written exam is divided into two parts: GAT and Mathematics. All the questions in the exam will be objective type. There will be a total 150 questions in GAT while the Mathematics part will carry a total of 120 questions. Each section of the exam will be held for 2 ½ hours. The GAT section will be for 600 marks while the Mathematics section will carry 300 marks. Candidates qualifying the written exam are called for SSB Interview. This stage carries 900 marks. Final selection of candidates is done based on written exam and SSB Interview.
NDA is one of the most sought after defence entrance exams in the country. The exam is conducted twice a year for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in a notice released on April 15 has mentioned that the decision on conducting NDA (2) 2020 exam will be posted on June 10. This is also the scheduled date for the release of NDA notification. According to UPSC calendar, the last date for submission of NDA 2 application form is June 30. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 6, 2020.
On the other hand, NDA (1) 2020 exam has been postponed by UPSC till further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam was scheduled to be conducted on April 19.
NDA 1 Admit card will be issued to the registered candidates three weeks before the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website by logging with either roll number or registration number. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post.
